 Acomplishment!
« Thread Started on Nov 15, 2008, 10:05pm »

The great mountain's caverns, when it's night, are horrily dark. That much was obvious. In the daylight, small crevices in the stone allowed rays of light in, making it easier for hikers and such to travel in Coronet's rocky belly. Only the brightest light revealed what nocturnal pokemon would have lurked there, and luckily, Larina had one. It was a necesity for an spelunker, which she was, for tonight anyway. Really, her intrests were not what was in the cave, but what was at the peak of the tallest mountain in Sinnoh. And, for some strange reason, one would have to travel through the caves to get to it. Larina just couldn't shake the feeling that she was in some odd world that some random person had made up, where dimensions were screwy and nothing made sense. Something like a video game. But, as always in life, some thing were just too strange to mull over without getting a headache. So she gave up on that.

Perched on the trainer's shoulder, a Mawhile lounged, his eyes half-closed. It was stupid for his trainer to expect this mountain to be safe enough to trek up in the middle of the night, but it wasn't as if he had any say in the matter. His friend was determined, and when that happened, well... there was no stopping Larina.

To her right, another pokemon kept pace, fully awake. Neko was built for the night, Larina had discovered, and she mused at the way light would bounce off the cat's eyes and shining coin when she pointed the flashligh the cat's way. Twin shafts of light would then strike the ground in front of them, and Neko would jump back, startled at the sudden pair of eyes glaring back at her from the charcoal colored ground.

Jaws would snicker at Neko's nervousness, but was otherwise just too tired to pick on her anyway. If it had been any other hour, he'd probably be nipping her tail with his gigantic maw, or pulling her whiskers, or something, which just plain got on Larina's nerves. Right now, she was he most thankful person on earth that Jaws hadn't the energy today, or else she'd probably have to put Neko back in her pokeball. And the trainer felt she might need Neko for later- she was twice the level that the Mawile was, no matter how much he dispised that fact.

As dark as the cave was many pokemon did live in it. Pokemon of different species called Mt. Coronet there home. Zubat, Machokes, and if you were lucky, Clafairies were common in Mt. Coronet. In a cave like this you had to be wary, wouldn't want to be getting yourself stuck in a "STICKY" situation.

A small Grey figured pokemon laid on the ground. It was enjoying a good nap for the time being. But it was shortly interrupted when it began to hear a bunch of noises nearby. Awakening from its slumber, it jumped out to-wards you wanting to get its revenge at you for waking it up. "MACH!"

Just her luck. Larina did happen to find a pokemon, but no matter which of her pokemon she'd battle it with, he had the advantage. No Matter- The guy obviously wanted a good battle, and she didn't want to dissapoint him.

"Hm, sorry for the wake-up call." she chuckled. "Neko, Fury swipes!"

THe cat readily skipped forward, sharp claws extended. She leaped at the Machop, flailing her paws wildly.

Machop defended itself with its strong forearms, taking only little damage from the cat pokemons attack. "MACH!" Just like that it was ready to attack, just after being attacked. Its endurance was truly high. Machop Karate Chopped the cat pokemon, at close range too! Would the attack stick?

*Machop uses Karate Chop.*

Larina saw the attack coming, though her pokemon reacted quicker then her trainer could shout a command.

Quickly, Neko managed to grab the machop's arms with her paws, trying to dig her talons into his grey skin. However, the momentum of the muscley pokemon was enough to give her a pretty hard blow, knocking the wind out of Neko and making her splutter an annoyed growl.

She was thrown to the ground, but Little Ms. Nice-guy wasn't about to give up there. She pulled the Machop down with her, using her back feet to kick into his stomach.
