"Welcome one, welcome all to the Celestial City Pokemon Contest! I am Jillian, your announcer for this evening. Sit back and relax as we proudly present the best Coordinators the Pinto region has to offer. You'll be amazed and dazed, by the dazzling performances our contestants are ready to show you. Are you ready?!" she announced, rearing on the crowd in-front of her.
The lights dimmed down as Jillian was about to announce the very first contestant. The crowd grew more and more excited for the reveal of the first appeal they were going to be shown. "Our first contestant is the majestic and beautiful, Selene! Priestess of Full-Moon island."

As soon as Jillian's introduction was complete, a bright light began to shine high above the crowd. The celestial sight hovered down, steadily dimming until the figure was clearly recognizable as an enchanting Cresselia-morph. She soared over the audience, raining down her aura of pleasantness. Most raised their hands to try and touch the beauty, but Selene was just out of arm's reach.
Selene's journey ended at her end of the battling stage where she curtsied formally to her onlookers before blowing them a kiss. That kiss released numerous tiny crescent moons which flew out over the audience, much like she just had, and were caught by many of them. The small, glowing crescents were warm to the touch and created in the holder an uncomparable feeling of peace and joy. After a few seconds, the moons dissolved into golden sparkles that rose from all corners of the audience, filling the air with a glorious golden glow before the particles finally vanished.
Onstage, the Lunar Pokémorph smiled warmly at everyone and waved royally. A roar of applause and cheers had already begun.

Well, now that the amateur was done, it was time for the real star to appear. Unlike his opponent, Marley didn't have to use his abilities to persuade the audience, he had talent. What the opponent lacked in talent, he did have to admit, she was pretty. Pathetic, cheap tricks aren't going to win you this Selene. With the crowd still awing over the moon goddesse's performance, there was only one way Marley was going to make a lasting appeal; that was if he scared the living shits out of them.
The lights in the contest hall started to brighten just a bit. Blazing past the moon goddess, Marley used Surf and a wave of water was heading towards the audiences way. Then, out of nowhere, Marley unleashed a powerful Scary Face attack that formed a face behind the wave of water, it was truly terrifying. The only thing separating the Surf attack from hitting the audience, was a wall. The water washed up against the wall and dispersed, leaving the sharply dressed Marley in their presence.
"Pathetic Selene. Did you really have to rely on cheap tricks to sway the audience?" speaking, arrogantly mannered of course.

"The point of a Contest is to show off one's natural abilities, is it not?" she replied calmly. "And bringing peace and joy to others is mine. I'm sorry if you believe this puts me at an unfair advantage." Her lavender eyes narrowed. She may be kind and calm, but she was certainly going to give this Contest her all. One never knows who's watching...
Selene took this opportunity to completely relax before the battle got physical. As she breathed in rhythmically, her soft glow grew brighter and dimmed with each breath. It was so serene and rather hypnotic to watch...
Selene used Calm Mind!
