Miscellaneous Information
History:
Growing up in Canalave City, from a young age Tregad was involved with all sorts of sea-fairing activities. Starting out as a young fisherman off the docks, he had eventually worked his way up to being a full-fledged sailor on a ship for the past two years. Tregad has seen many things, including a Gyarados or two causing destruction on the waves. And because of this he looks at them with the same legendary reverance and even a respect many others share. Other than that his life on the ocean has given him callused hands and tanned skin as proof of his sea-related labors. At the age of sixteen he had the tattoos placed on his body. In addition he has also trained as somewhat of a martial artist, but nowhere near an expert. Over the years of his youth this shaped him into the young man he is now, leaving his teens behind for good by this time next year.
And while it is something to be proud of in his own city, he finds it somewhat boring to look for the same types of food everyday. He had never gone anywhere outside the port if a ship he was part of the crew on went to another city. There usually wasn’t enough time to do that, plus he felt insecure about leaving the waters he had practically been raised on. But now it was different. . .and he had grown up seeing so many people get involved in those pokemon battles. Even the sailors who had no idea what they were doing had been getting in on this craze!
So, he decided to leave the wide ocean blue behind for the hard land. For he would not fall into the stereotype of using only water pokemon! No! No! No! Tregad became determined to fight that urge, setting off recently to go find his first pokemon & become a professional trainer. But maybe one day he might just take on a water pokemon, to take away the temptation.
Roleplay Sample:
"Oh really?"
It wasn't hard to tell by his tone that the girl had caught his interest effectively. Tregad felt some type of anticipation at the oppertunity to fight a trainer from another part of the world. So much to the point he let her know it in what might be called a reckless reveal of information. What came from him next sounded like praise disguised as a challenge. Probably the only way he might talk to a fellow fighter that interested him as an opponent.
"Well then I'll be finding out for myself if you make it to Solaceon Town or not. See you there!â€
With a confident smirk he continued out on the road from his own native birthplace.
