The day was pleasant and the people were busy. What would you of expected from a place like Hearthome City? It was referred to as the heart and soul of the Sinnoh Region. Huge crowds of people gathered all over the place to participate in all of the events being held in this beautiful city. Not only was the city revered for its beauty and people. It was also idolized for the pokemon contests that were held in the Cathedral every now and then. It was one of the biggest buildings in all of Sinnoh and it would house pokemon contests. If you were lucky enough to get in you could witness talent beyond your expectations.
The Grand Festival was also housed here. If you collected enough ribbons through out the Sinnoh Region you were eligible to participate in one. But that was easier said then done. Not many were gifted as some were, most were just lucky if they got enough. With all inspiring coordinators with the same thing on there mind you can get a general understanding of how pokmeon coordinating was harder then it looked. It wasn't just for its performance and beauty but for its talent, dedication, and competition. If you were smart you would trust no one, or at-least thats what one coordinator thought.
Just recently separating from her two best friends, James and Meowth. Jessie, now Jessilina, was a former member of Team Rocket and has now took over a new identity to pursue her dreams. There was also a little fight between the three that sealed the deal. All three new eventually they would separate, not even the most disturbing friendships can last like they thought it would.
Now pursuing her dreams she can careless about anyone but hers. Jessilina's dream was to be rich and famous, but she now knows shes going to have to work hard to get to where she wants. Her dreams changed and now she wants to be a top pokemon coordinator. Looking hard up at the huge stone building, known as the Cathedral in Hearthome City, only one thing was present on the fuchsia colored hair girls mind. It was to make it to the grand festival.
Luckily the woman didn't have that many ribbons left to get. She had two already so she was just about there. But if she really wanted this then she would have to fight like hell to get it. I can do this.... no James... Meowth.. no one is holding me back.... Saying to herself in her mind. Then all of a sudden a strange blue pokemon appeared out of its pokeball and was standing to the side of the woman. "Wabba!" Cried as it placed its left arm over its forehead. "Return..." Taking out a pokeball a beam of red light shined over the blue monster and swallowed it up whole, causing it to disappear.

Also in the city was a woman. A very famous woman at that, but that was all in the old days. Not many recognized her as a gym leader from days past, but that was OK, she liked the anonymity that came with it.
Two Mudkips frolicked at the grandmother's side, playing what seemed to be a game of tag as the three of them walked down the street Lotta was minding her own business this time around, grocery shopping, of all things... who would of thought? The Mudkips, on the other hand, weren't paying such close attention. Killer, the slightly larger one, squeaked loudly and spat a bit of water at the other, who dodged it... leaving the weak, playful attack heading out into the streets...

While fantasizing about herself, the magenta haired one lost her concentration and was now furious. Jolting behind she saw two Mudkps playing with each other. Spitting water at each other like two little kids. HOW DARE THEY MESS WITH MY DREAMING! She though. Slightly egotistical was the girl, she liked the attention to be on her.
"Hey you.... old lady keep your pokemon in check." She was acting as if she was of as higher Archy then the old lady. The woman was older... so... Jessilina was more important. Sooner or later the old lady was going to die of some old person illness. "Don't you have some knitting or something to do?" She asked. Very rude was she. Guess she didn't think the old lady was a pokemon trainer.... and possibly something much much more.

Lotta looked at the woman who had spoken, annoyance showing on her face. Wooo boy, this girl was gonna get it good! "You kids these days! Don't you know how to treat your elders with RESPECT anymore!?" She was going off on a rant now, which was slightly amusing. For such a tiny old lady, she sure did have a set of vocal cords on her. "--When I was your age, we treated our elders like their words came from the Bible themselves! And when they asked us to do something, we did it and--"
The offending Mudkips halted their play and cocked their heads simultaneously to look at Jessie, looking for all the world like innocent, baby pokemon.
"Mud!" "Kip!"

Frankly the woman didn't care much about the old ladies pamper days. Old people always went on talking about the "GOOD OLD DAYS". Like anyone cares what happened to an old-timer like her.... 300 years ago. Wait... could she be that old? No.... maybe? "Hey old timer.... no one cares about the old days. Were in the modern day.... last time I checked I could read your life story in a history book...." She pasued... thinking if that was the right thing to say to someone who was coming off as rash as she was, even worse.
The old woman spoke in a tone that almost gave Jessilina chills down her back. No one ever really defied her. She was beginning to doubt what she said, was it the right thing to say? She didn't want a black eye you know. "Hey.. hag... since you like to under-mind me.. lets have a pokemon battle?" She asked. Hopefully she would accept.

Lotta snorted, staring down the pink-haired menace as best she could. Seeing as how the woman was very, very short in the first place... it shoudl of not worked so well, but Granny was quite an interesting characther in the first place. I mean, how many people met old ladies with pokemon...?
"Fine--I'll teach you a lesson, young whippersnapper! Then maybe you'll have the decency to dress properly, like a young lady should and learn some R-E-S-P-E-C-T for your elders!" At the promise of a battle, the two pokemon sat up straighter, looking excited. The crowds mysteriously cleared out, leaving the two enough room to summon pokemon.
